Not entirely sure what I am doing when I meet the level 6 boss!

Gunlock
I had high expectations of this one from the YouTube video, but it runs very slowly on my rpi3 under lr-mame2003. I got it running at a decent speed with advmame-0.94 though, and it's an interesting take on the usual gameplay. While the enemy are far away you seem to be able to 'mark' them for missiles. Once they are closer, you have to use your conventional guns. Wasn't as good as I expected from the video though, and there was some odd graphical glitching on the big asteroids, may have been an advmame thing.It works well on the latest AdvMame 3.4/3.5, I believe. It's a reasonably fine game in its own right. And you can then get the sequels on the PSX if you're into those.

Aw, sorry about that!
We've been down to Blackpool for the annual Retro Gaming Expo, and I only got a bit of time to try this when we got back!
-
@GtBFilms Excusion accepted :)
But tell me what was the best arcade mashine on this show? -
Unfortunately I didn't get much chance to play anything, as I was accompanied by my 5 year old son for the first time, and he was more interested in the merchandise in the trade hall - picking up a Golden Mario and a bunch of Star Wars figures.
They always have a stand-up Star Wars machine there, which is my favourite one - I have great nostalgic memories of playing that in wet October holidays on our annual trip to visit my grandparents.
Apparently they also had the sit-down version of the Star Wars cab this year, but I didn't see it.
I think the vector graphics still look pretty good and haven't really aged as much as some of the other technology around at the time.
They had quite a few sit-down cabs this time actually, which was new, and a bunch of Candy cabs as well.
My favourite one to see, if perhaps not to play, was an ancient old Video Pinball one they had a couple of years back.
