Keyboard/mouse not responding PIXEL desktop
-
Same problem here.
After I install the desktop environment on Retropie (LXDE pixels on Emulestation), mouse and keyboard do not work (they never worked). Conversely, if I log in remotely (with xrdp for example), everything works great. Local nothing to do.
Given that from Emulestation (pressing F4) the keyboard works in terminal mode. But nothing to do graphically.
Any suggestions?

@otello Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Since F4 works in Emulationstation, I guess your keyboard does work - it's detected by Raspbian. If you exit Emulationstation and then run the desktop, does your keyboard work ? -
Sorry for bad format :)

[0mYes, the keyboard works well in terminal mode. Using F4 allows me to exit the console. I can write on the terminal. But as I enter in to X (with startx command) then when appears the background of the desktop X, the icons and everything else ... but I can no longer do anything !
To close the system I have to access in ssh from other pc and give the comendo closing or restart.
P.S. Everything works well from remote login: using RDP (e.g.) from Windows PC.
In the same Retropie has also been installed a gamepad that works well. I have already tried to detach it and restart it with the keyboard only but nothing to do ...
It almost looks as if the USB keyboard is not configured inside X

No one who has a solution to this problem?

Any suggestions?
You can check out the Keyboard Configuration File at
/etc/default/keyboard
.Not sure if this will help but try this...
When you're remoted in, run the RPi Software Configuration Tool with
sudo raspi-config
and go to Localisation Options then Change Keyboard Layout and run through that to reset those settings.
