On my ports I can only play with the keyboard, is there any way I can use my controller to play

It depends on the game, as opposed to other systems/platforms, each game has its own method of handling gamepads - some of them support it, some of them don't have gamepad support. You'll have to see if the game you're using supports gamepads and - if not enabled by default - try to configure it and see if works.
