Super Road Blaster / SNES
-
Hi everyone. I'm just curious about this. Is it possible to run the homebrew Super Road Blaster on the included SNES emulator? Is the emulator capable of emulating the MSU1 chip?

The best way to find out is to try it yourself against all six SNES emulators in RetroPie. However, it's my understanding that 'BSNES' and it's more modern incarnation, 'Higan', are the only options available when it comes to MSU1 games.
Edit: This is likely due to the accuracy of original hardware emulation found in both. Ironically, it's also what prevents them from running smoothly on the Pi as well.

Speaking of MSU-1 games, check out this little beauty:

@mediamogul Ok thanks for letting me know. That's kind of been my understanding as well but wanted to make sure.

@drake999 Yeah that looks awesome. I'm a pretty big Legend of Zelda fan, though the first game I actually beat was Ocarina of Time. I think I came close with Link to the Past, but I didn't own a SNES so I wasn't able to finish it. I was more of a Sega fanboy back in the day, but now I'm into almost anything retro. Still that looks awesome. I hear there is also a hack of Link to the Past which uses the MSU1 and all the tracks have been redone with an actual symphony orchestra in MP3 format.

A fully orchestral Zelda sounds amazing. I'll have to look that up.
