I picked up two Dualshock 4 controllers to use with my RetroPie 4.5 build. I've been using 8bitdo controllers for the longest time and I've not really had that many issues with them. However, with the PSX emulator, I've noticed that Player 1 (Wireless Controller #1) controls Player 2's (Wireless Controller #2) inputs. When I press any button on Wireless Controller #2, nothing happens with any PSX game. I've verified that the inputs and selections are correct via RetroArch and both controllers work independently with every other emulator that accepts more than one controller. Just the PlayStation I'm having trouble with. Here's a list of all the config files that I can think to link to try and give some insight to anybody willing to help. Thank you in advance.

      The main RetroArch config file
      The main joystick-selection file
      Config file for lr-pcxs-rearmed
      joystick-selection for lr-pcxs-rearmed

Try removing the joypad index from the psx system configuration file - if you're using the Joystick selection tool this should be enough.

So basically just add the hashtags and take them completely out of the equation?
