          Getting those old DOS games to work even on PC hardware was sometimes pretty difficult. You might want to check your Expanded/Extended memory settings against what that game originally ran with, those are usually the culprit.

          System Config: Retropie 4.4 with full desktop, RPi 3B, 256gb SD, 5v 2.1A 5,200 mAH USB battery. EasyMSX controller mounted with Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 (non touch). Also running 4.6 on a 4gb Pi 4 serving as my primary desktop computer now.

            [autoexec]
            @echo off
            mount d: /home/pi/PetroPie/roms/pc-data/alone3 -t cdrom
            d:
            dir
            cd indark3
            aitd3.exe

            It runs but then hangs on the title screen, I have alone 1 and alone 2 working just fine, so it's either a sound or memory issue.

            I have purchased them off of GOG and it works on my PC fine in DosBox, I don't see anything special in their [dosboxAlone3_single.conf] pertaining to sound or memory settings

                @bkumanchik try updating your retropie setup script and then update dosbox from source.

                When you say hang do you mean freeze? Can you exit dosbox cleanly after it hangs?

                  @quicksilver

                  In DosBox on my desktop PC at the title screen you just have to hit Enter to get into the game but nothing happens on the Pie after hitting Enter (so it's not a crash it's more of a hang)

                      @VictimRLSH

                      I tried:

                      EMS=true
                      XMS=true

                      Still didn't work :(
