As the title states, some games press a direction at all times for me.
For instance, F-Zero for N64 always go to the left in some menus and Rock Band for PSP always go up in some menus. This is really tedious since I can't properly choose settings and configure whatever needs configuring in the menu.
      99% of games works fine.

Could this be rom related or emulator related?

      Thanks

@langest I wonder if your controller has some analog drift. Can you run jstest and see if one of the analog stick values is constantly fluctuating?

          Checked, it doesn't.
If this was the issue, the problem would be present in all games and the direction would be the same for all the games as well.

@langest what controller are you using? Which pi, emulator, and version of retropie? I dont have this issue in f-zero.

Actually, it went away for no reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now it seems to work. I will do some more debugging in case it shows up again.
              Thanks for the help.

@langest interesting...I have had controllers that had intermittent issues with the analog stick drifting or sticking. I also remember that on original N64 hardware that if the analog stick was pushed while the game was booting up the crosshair/selector would get stuck trying to go one direction. You had to reset the game to fix it. No idea if that could be related.

I also remember this, very annoying. But once my N64 joysticks were worn out, I put the analog stick back a bit to not have to press it as much forward to have it react.
