I need to create a script that adds me to a txt file the name of the emulator I am selecting in emulationstation before clicking on the rom, do you have any ideas? I managed to do this using runcommand but only for when I start the roms.
      Thx in advice

Runcommand is reading the list of emulators for a system from a file /opt/retropie/configs/<system>/emulators.cfg. Parse that file for the system you're interested in and you can extract the emulator(s) used - there may be more than one available.

@fr4m3 That's not possible - ES doesn't support any scripting when selecting a game.
