      I bought one thinking it would work with rpi no problem, but it isnt detected at all. Not in EmulationStation or jstest. Even lsusb just lists a id and no name. It works on my pc.

      Any suggestions?

      I tried updating xpad driver... Etc.

        If it's a generic USB Xbox clone, then it should be handled by the xpad driver. Can you run - from the command line - cat /proc/bus/input/devices and then post the output ?
