Well it's done! After nearly 20 years tinkering with MAME related things I have finished my cabinet that I call Back to the Arcade. It's been a great project and I have written a multi-part blog about the process. Please feel free to read about it at http://zopingo.com/dans-blog/back-to-the-arcade-a-1980s-classic.

Here is a picture of the final product...

      And my custom marquee...

Well done! I really like the marquee. What's with the barrel to the right? Is the pipework functional or just there because it looks cool?

Thanks. It's functional as a coin changer. Check out my blog section titled Bonus for a full explanation.

Looks great, and looks like a lot more effort than I'm putting into my own stuff :-)

Ah, got it. I wasn't familiar with that term, although I am a TNG fan. I see how it is similar but my design was inspired mostly from Defender. I talk about it in part 10 of my blog at http://zopingo.com/dans-blog/part-10-artwork.

                      Outstanding work! 😎👍

As for LCARS, among Linux users it's sometimes said to be an abbreviation for Linux Can Also Run Starships. 😉

Also, that control panel is super sleek @DRB You really put some great effort into it.

Since my original post I finished the graphics on the bezel. Many thanks to Escape Pod for the printing and installation; they did an awesome job!
