I've been tinkering for some time trying to identify what would have caused my Retropie / EmulationStation to stop launching ROMs. I have SSH'd into the raspberry pi and can see the following result in the 'runcommand.log' file:

      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-nestopia/nestopia_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/nes/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/nes/Super Mario Bros. 3 (USA).zip" --appendconfig /dev/s$
/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 1006: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch: No such file or directory

Does anyone have any advice in this situation?

@madphill said in Roms won't load (No Such File or Directory):

/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch: No such file or directory

That's the error - you're missing the program that runs the ROMs - i.e. the emulator. Re-install the retroarch package from RetroPie-Setup and try again.

@mitu Thank you. That was exactly what I needed to know! I have it working now. No idea how it got deleted, but glad this was the fix. Thank you very much.
