Hello my Raspberry Pi 3b+ version 4.5.1 after trying to update the emulators it only shows retropie splashscreen then no video output , the usb keyboard stops working after the splash and my ps4 controller stopped connecting to my Pi then the green light starts blinking for 3 seconds then only the red light stays on.

I tried to see a tutorial to change the theme but I can't go to the terminal link(

)and I also tried to plug my sd card to a virtual Ubuntu machine to change the theme to carbon but the problem still happens.

From the description of your issue, I think your system shuts down after the boot sequence and it's not a problem with Emulationstation (themes or not).
You haven't given much details about your setup - what version of RetroPie do you have ? Did you install any additional scripts/drivers on your system ?

Did you use the image from the RetroPie site ? Does it work if you disconnect any USB devices ?

If you didn't install anything else that would automatically shutdown your system, then I can't think of something that would be at fault here.
Just to eliminate any hw problems, you can back-up your SD card, then install Raspbian Desktop on the card and see if it works.

@mitu can I backup my retropie image in a windows machine or I should use a Linux machine?
because all I care about is the saves and the roms.

@Mosaad-20 You can use a Windows machine also - use Win32DiskImager to back-up your image.
