Screen not working
-
Hi everybody!
I installed RetroPie on my Pi 4 and got it working.
But when I connected another monitor to the Pi (the monitor I will be using in my Arcade build), I only get audio (via headphones) when booting a rom.
I can, however, browse through the main menu and select a rom that I want to play, but then it looses the connection: the monitor shows that he lost signal. It is a Philips 19PFL3403/10.I already tried some RetroArch configurations in the .cfg file, but nothing seems to work.
Anybody has a hint?
Thanks! -
@Playerken sounds like the resolution that the game is outputting is not a resolution that is compatible with the monitor you are using.
According to Philips, these are the supported resolutions for your display:
640 x 480, 60 Hz
800 x 600, 60 Hz
1024 x 768, 60 Hz
1280 x 1024, 60 Hz

If you don't specify a resolution in the configuration file, the emulators will use the current resolution of your display.
Did you change the resolution through the Runcommand launch menu ? How is the monitor connected ? -
@mitu Yes, I did, but only the preset ones, maybe I'll try a custom one?
It is connected via HDMI -
What happens if you don't choose a specific resolution and let it run with the default ? Do you get video or just blank ?
-
@mitu I'm sorry, I use the Configuration Editor in the Options menu.

I got it working!
I previously disabled the runcommand launch menu, so I re-enabled it.
Then, choosing the lowest resolution provided by @quicksilver, it works!Thank you guys!!
