(Solved) Steamlink not working on pi4
-
If it's too early for this kind of support, please ignore.
Funny thing is, it worked the first time. Then never again. Pressing on "start playing", "settings", or "support" now boots me back to the menu. It says everything's fine with green checkmarks for: My pc, my pad, and connection.
I'm using the pegasus-frontend but the issue still happens with ES.
https://pastebin.com/ztg3b1XUI'm using a freshly installed/updated raspbian buster lite using the retropie
fkms_rpi4
branch that I just did yesterday. I do NOT userpi-update
. -
@Darksavior For what its worth my Pi3b+ does the exact same thing. I havnt spent any time really troubleshooting it yet, but it launched once, i realized my controls were screwed up, exited it and that was it.

I just installed it yesterday and it worked without issues (well, minus the bad wifi connection) - it paired and it recognised by PS4 gamepad, I started Mercenary Kings and it worked fine.
I don't think there's any issues with the client, try removing the config (
/home/pi/.local/share/Valve Corporation
) and see if it tries to re-configure itself. -
@Parabolaralus @mitu Ok, it was user error. Thanks. So "A" is back/exit and "B" is enter/forward. Tried it a few times, it works. I'll have to change that.

EDIT: purged steam link then removed all steam/valve folders under share, reinstalled and it was fine. Thanks!

@Darksavior mine drops to the console if that's where I start it or if from ES, drops me back there.
I'll try mitus suggestion first and see how that goes. It would be nice to be able to use this as I move my computer to the living room currently each time for the wife and I to game.
I finally brought my Pi4 home today so I might just give this a shot as well and see what happens with both retropie and SL later on.
