      I know I have to use this, but does it run the most recent version?

        I don't think it does, while the source is updated from the upstream repository, the game data (assets) are not. I think the current port (the link you provided) doesn't work as is also, because of this mis-match.

          Will there be an updated version eventually?

            Also, does this mean anything for SRB2K 1.1?

                Probably yes, since the current version is not installable.

                Yes, but you'd better wait for an updated package that includes the new version and fixes the installation.

                        I don't understand ? Yes, I know there's a new 2.2 version for Sonic Robo Blast - it's in the topic title.

                            Yes, update meant update the package in RetroPie's installer.

                                One of the developers of the project updates the scriptmodule that installs and configures SRB2 or a PR (pull request) is created by another Github user, containing the necessary changes, and is accepted by the developers.
                                Something like this.

                                  @joolswills joolswills merged commit 6a8ea3a into RetroPie:master
                                  What does this mean?

                                    It means we're one step closer to have an updated SRB2 available in RetroPie. As I said, you'll need to wait a bit for the 2.2 version to be installable and running.

                                      @Barkers you can now install SRB 2.2 from the RetroPie-Setup script. Make sure you update your script first, then install it from the experimental packages section.
