Error after updating Retropie

Hello,
So yesterday I downloaded Retropie. Today I updated my retropie and then I restarted my raspberry pi 4 and when I typed emulationstation in terminal this error showed up " terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::logic_error'
what(): basic_string::_M_construct null not valid
Aborted"
can anyone help me with this error ? -
