Still no light gun support for SMS??

Hello there. I haven't been tinkering with Retropie much over the past year but looking to get back into it this year. When I was last messing around with it there seemed to be light gun support for NES, AdvMame and a few other emulators but I don't see that there is support available for SMS. Is this true and if there is still no support for SMS is anybody working on it?

Have you tried using
lr-genesis-plus-gx? It has lightgun support. -
@mitu I tried it in the past but it never worked. I'm using a Wiimote with a little gun mount thing and a Dolphinbar. Never worked on GX before. I'll keep tinkering.
Also randomly, do you have any idea when Retropie support for Pi 4 will be ready? I just got one and realized its not ready yet.

There's no deadline and support is on-going, so .. 'when it's ready'.
