Issue with arcade1up monitor conversion board and HDMI splitter.
-
So, I just finished up my build.
I wanted to put an HDMI out on the back of my arcade1up so that I could sit down on my couch and play some old FF games with a controller and my projector without having to squint at that postage stamp size 17” monitor and sit on a stool the whole time.
So I bought this flush mount hdmi port:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HXFARS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareI’m using this board for the monitor:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZVPTRSD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareI have everything installed, and it seems to work with one small issue.
Every time I power the whole thing off (it’s all connected to one surge strip) and turn it back on, the 1up monitor says “no signal” and just completely shuts off after about 6 seconds.
I can get it working if I
1: unhook the 1up monitor from the splitter
2: hook the 1up monitor directly to the pi
3: power everything off and back on again.
At this point the screen comes on and everything loads as normal. Then I can:
4: unhook the 1up monitor from the pi and put it back onto the splitter.
6: hook the pi back to the input of the splitter.
Then everything will work as intended and the hdmi output is mirrored like it’s supposed to be.This is kind of a pain to have to go through every time my unit gets powered down. Take the back off, swap the hdmi cables blah blah.
Does anyone have any ideas? It would be nice if the dang thing would just work normally after power on.
