      Hi,
Im really new to raspberry pi but i was trying to do a project. This is the project im doing: https://www.instructables.com/id/GamPi-XS-the-PlugnPlay-Emulation-Station/ . Everything is working fine but I cant seem to add roms. I did switch the raspberry pi zero w with the zero 1.3 so I dont have internet or bluetooth so i thought I could just do it over usb but when i plug in a usb my buttons of my controller dont work anymore. Any advice or ideas whats wrong?

      Thanks in advance

Looking at the project's page, one of the comments of the page is asking this very question, another comment mentions that they had to reverse the data wires soldering position to make it work. I guess it works with the SNES controller used in the original project, but the product link page is gone now. Did you use another SNES controller ?

Is the USB device recognized by the OS ? If you run lsusb from a command line, is the controller showing up as an USB device ?

Sorry, I mis-understood the problem them. Looks like a power related issue then - not enough to power both USB devices ?

@mitu could that be a problem? In the project page they say the raspberry pi works on 5.2 volts so whould I increase that then?

Low voltage could be a problem. You can test if the power is the culprit by powering the PI directly through the micro USB and see if both the controller and the USB stick work simultaneously.
