      Sorry the title is so non-specific I just didn’t want to make like 4 different threads for these questions.

      I’m basically finished with this build and I’m ready to hand it over but there are a few things that I wish I could iron out to make me feel better about it.

      1: is there any way to disable the settings menu when launching a rom while in kiosk mode? The “press A to config” thing is what I’m talking about when you load it up. I don’t want his kids accidentally getting into this.

      2: is there a way to disable the retroarch menu in kiosk mode? The holding select and A menu. Again there are sensitive settings in here and I don’t want his kids accidentally messing with them.

      3; I scraped all the mame roms but for some reason the metadata game titles all have tags at the end. Freaking (USA) and (rev 1.2abc feat. Nellie) etc. Is there an easy way to delete these other than to edit each roms meta data individually, which would take me literally weeks to do?

      Basically I want to use kid mode, since all the limitations I want are features within kid mode. But it’s going to be literally impossible for me to edit the meta data of all these roms and turn on kid game for literally everything.

      Thanks.

        @tackett1980

        So I ran this script:

        https://www.reddit.com/r/RetroPie/comments/9fd7pe/easy_fix_for_rom_name_world_v10_name_in_game_menu/

        Please forgive me if I’m not allowed to link that.

        It seems like it’s doing something in the terminal window, I can type commands and nothing happens like it’s working in the background.

        Is there any way to check the progress of this or if it’s doing anything?

        Edit:
        NM I figured it out. Cntrl+C.

          You can disable the Runcommand launch menu from the RetroPie setup Configuration/Tools - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/#configuring-runcommand

          2: is there a way to disable the retroarch menu in kiosk mode? The holding select and A menu. Again there are sensitive settings in here and I don’t want his kids accidentally messing with them.

          For that you can remove/comment the input_menu_toggle_btn settting from your controller's configuration file in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads. This will disable the button, leaving other hotkeys intact.
          I'd also disable the reset button, it could easily be triggered with the hotkey (input_reset_btn).

          That would be the easier to do from the scraper, instructing it to remove that info. The script you found might work.
