MY RASPBERRY PI WONT WORK

for some odd reason my raspberry pi wont work. ill plug it in the lights will come on for power and act... but no video comes up on tv. if you have answers tell me

have you put an sd card with retropie on it in the pi?

Yeah. I have tried powering on the Pi first and it looks weird.

What lights are on?
Certain cases block the HDMI port partially. Remove the case.

If you have just one solid red light, that means everything is fine the Pi just won't boot.
