Random buttons not functioning

Never heard of this problem before, but random buttons in certain emulators just stopped. Mostly left shoulder and right shoulder. In ppsspp there isn't any left/right shoulder. In lr-mupen64plus, my two side, uh, are they called C buttons? Anyway they dropped out after I completed a level on Doom 64.
RPi 4 with master branch build on top of Buster and a Logitech F310 gamepad.I've noticed on:

Dreamcast-lr-flycast-Jet Set Radio-L/R-all times
