adding new system to custom es_systems.cfg
-
Hi everyone,
Good Morning mitu,i have customized my es_systems a long time ago to get the systems in the order i want to have them (i.e. NES->SNES->GBA and so on...) without get everything overwritten when doing system-updates.
Now the time has come to add another system to my setup (amiberry)
I am not sure how adding a system works in this case, so i have a question concerning that.
I allready had a look in the docs and read that as far as a copy of es_systems is placed in "~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg" this one is used by emulationstation fully ignoring the default one in "etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg".
So what i guess whats happening when i install amiberry is the following:
- the new system-entry is written in "etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg", but of course not in my custom one in "~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
- if this guess is right, i can easily copy the new amiberry/amiga-lines of "etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg" to my customized es_systems.cfg and everythings runs fine
Is this right the way i am thinking?
