      With mupen64plus the roms works fine but is deprecated. I have updated mupen64plus-next (muplen64plus-libretro-nx) and when trying to execute any roms ... it always gives the same error.

        Please add more info about your system and the RetroPie version used.

          @snock if you are using the legacy VC video drivers this is a known issue and the fix is under review.

          You have two choices:

          1. Wait for the fix to be merged and then rebuild from source (recommended).
          2. Update your RetroPie-Setup script and rebuild from source (if you can't wait).

          Option (2) temporarily rollsback mupen-next to the last known commit before the problem started. Once the fix is merged, you will have to update again the RetroPie-Setup script and rebuild from source again to obtain latest fixed mupen-next.

          This only applies when using the legacy VC drivers, not KMS+Mesa.

            raspberry 3b+ , retroarch 1.8.4 , retropie 4.5.1. Touch wait for the solution.
