Updating from binary actually compiles packages

I've moved from development to master branch and am updating packages from binary and it's taking ages. It's actually compiling lots of packages.
Am i doing something wrong or it just works that way?

Sorry, i've just noticed entering in each package menu that a few ones can just be downloaded from source and compiled.
