I'm slowly getting there with Vice now for C64 emulation.

I can't get it to autoload .TAP files though. It attaches the .TAP file, and the screen just shows: -

      LOAD"",1,1:

      PRESS PLAY ON TAPE

It doesn't auto load it. My ubuntu version of VICE autoloads .TAP files fine.

I've tried adding -autostart to the commandline in emulators.cfg as follows: -

      vice-x64 = "/opt/retropie/emulators/vice/bin/vice.sh x64 %ROM%" -autostart

But no luck, still just sits there waiting for PLAY to be pressed.

I know I can go in the menus to activate the Datasette, or map a key to do this, but I've run out of spare buttons on my controller and need it loading automatically.

      Any ideas? Thanks

EDIT: I solved this. Had to go into Machine Settings -> Tape Port Devices and enable "Datasette Device".
