USB controller not working for games but works in ES
-
Good Evening, I'm having an issue with a USB controller and I'm sure it's something real simple but for the life of me I can't work it out and seem to be going in circles. I've found a few threads of the same issue but nothing seems to resolve my issue.
Standard USB (Dragonwise generic USB joystick), configured input through ES and all buttons work to navigate through ES. Once I select a game to play it comes up and says it is configured in port#2 button then doesn't work in the game. I have gone into the retropie menu and then configuration menu and then configure basic libretro emulator options and then all and doesn't matter where I assign it it still doesn't work when in a game. If I come out of the game using the keyboard I can then navigate ES menus with the controller.
I can see a .cfg file for my controller in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig
What am I missing guys?

@joesnow81 I've just started setting it up here, and have the same dragonwise usb controller.
I see the exact same behaviour, it works in the menues, but when I start the game it shows 'controller not configured' and then starts the game.
Did you get it solved?
