Hi, I just downloaded the latest retropie release, installed it on a pi3b+. The only tweaks I’ve made are installing the NesPi+ script, enabling ssh and disabling overscan.

I dropped in some nes roms and tried to switch to grid mode on the carbon theme and ES crashes to a blue screen with an error message about the crash, which only asks if I’ve used the correct image for my pi model (which I am).

Ive tried it with and without a gamelist.xml, I’ve tried reinstalling and I still get the same error.

Is there a problem with grid mode on the current release or does carbon not yet support it and I need a new theme, or am i just missing something obvious and stupid? I really want to try it out but can’t get it to work.

        Carbon doesn't support the GridView.

View/Theme switching leads to a crash if the theme doesn't support the view type (see https://github.com/RetroPie/EmulationStation/issues/548).
