So I’m kinda new to the RetroPie and raspberry pi stuff. I wanted to make a fresh new pi setup with only my favorite games, so I installed a new copy like usual. I am about to remotely transfer the games no problem, but when I go to restart emulation station, the choose to play those games doesn’t come up. I’ve tried to transfer the ROMs zipped and unzipped. I can see that the files are on the pi though the file manager, but the SNES, genesis, or NES doesn’t come up for me to play. I tried to download the packages from binary and source, but it still didn’t work. It’s odd that only arcade games pop up to play. Does anyone have suggestions?

Can you show a listing of the ROM folder with the files you copied, for the snes folder for instance ?
