Speaker recommendations
-
Hi,
I’m just completing an arcade build, but I’m not sure what speakers to use with my pi3.
Ideally I’d like something USB powered, but can’t imagine the pi would give enough power to do this?
I’m not after anything mega fancy, just something semi-decent to use on my project.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

No ideas?
I saw this https://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/mosfet-stereo-sound-amplifier-kit-for-arcade-machine-projects.html but when you factor in the power supply, it will cost about the same as I paid for the Pi.

I've been using these in my arcade cabinet since I built it in 2012. Still going strong too!

May not quite meet your specifications but turns out to be only one extra plug in the power strip. :)

I use Logitech S120, they're $14, but I think I like those Cyber Acoustic recommended by ClassicGMR! The other thing I want to try is plugging in a bluetooth transmitter (headphone jack) and having sound coming over my room speakers. Anyone try that?
My speaker panel builds:

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll have a look.
Could I use an echo Dot connected to the 3.5mm headphone jack in the meantime?

I just bought some cheap PC speakers off ebay and then dismantled them from the case. They work well in my bartop.
