Rook's Collection O' Splash Screens

These are amazing! I love the Defender one you did, you said you did it in Adobe Illustrator? Do you still have the .ai file? If so, could I please get it from you? I would love to have this on as my marquee sign for the bartop arcade I just built.
-
@GameOfSoup Looks like I only used Illustrator for the RetroPie outline. The rest was done in Photoshop. I remember creating a brush to do the stars. So, sadly, I do not have the original vector, it was just a quick method to get the shape to send to Photoshop.

WOW! Awesome set!
I am so using the "Winners Don't Do Drugs" one! -
@Rookervik Thanks for the quick reply, and no problem. I totally understand. Ill take what you have uploaded and see if I can make it work. Thanks again!
-
@GameOfSoup If you're wanting to print it out large, I can remake it. I really should start saving all my art. But I have trouble finding things so I often just don't bother saving. Haha.

@Rookervik It seems that I can't download the Link to the Past Splash Screen. It's giving me a 404 :(
-
@metalfuzzybunny are you talking about this one?
All the splashscreens are available here: https://github.com/HerbFargus/retropie-splashscreens-extra
And you can easily install them via RetroPie-Setup. ;-)
-
@meleu but that's not the animated one, right? I want the mp4
-
@metalfuzzybunny so find the YouTube video and download that
-
Dropbox has changed the way that they allow access to users' shared content. I will have to read up on the changes and update links to the video splash screens. When I have some more days off I will work on this. Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
Ok, I found that I already have a repository for the splash videos, I just had not uploaded them because of my slow connection. I took the time to upload them and they can be downloaded from: https://github.com/ehettervik/retropie-splash-videos
-
@Rookervik the turtle one with the pirate jig is my favourite
-
@herb_fargus Haha, that's not even mine. I just made it for Omnija.
-
@Rookervik doesn't matter. It's still the best. And he seems to have moved on to greener pastures anyhow
Also if it isn't on the repo... You need to add it
-
@herb_fargus I consider Link to the Past the best one. It took me days to program all the events and create the art :D
Anyway, I can't find the Turtle Pi video. I have the game, still. So maybe some day I will re-record it.
For now: added the GBA Bios splash video I never released, and the Raspberry Pi Sonic/Mario mashup. Check the repo for the files.
-
@Rookervik I might have it somewhere. will check. and yes lttp is pretty good too
-
@Rookervik Edit: Nevermind - managed to get them downloaded properly now, sorry for any trouble. ^^;

You are awesome!
How about a little splashvideo of something in the Bubble Bobble 'esque for the builds based on this game?
