Manually download core (N64 - mupen64 or parallel)
-
I searching the way, how to download RPi/retroarch core for N64.
the retroarch.cfg shows me the http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/armhf/latest/ url.
but there is no mupen64 or parallel core file.
how do i get it?(im using the retroarch addon for the kodi on rpi3 and it has no preinstalled cores, or i just can miss something)

RetroPie doesn't use the Libretro buildbot site to install the cores. If the Kodi Retroplayer addon uses it to downloading emulation cores, then I guess it's not supported since the buildbot doesn't have those files. You should ask the addon's author(s) to check how you can install these cores.

@mitu thx, can you point me, where from retropie get/update the cores?
-
@k0st1x It's compiled from the upstream repository - https://github.com/libretro/mupen64plus-libretro-nx or https://github.com/libretro/mupen64plus-libretro

@mitu, thank you :) you are very patient and kind!
i've opened https://github.com/libretro/mupen64plus-libretro-nx/releases link and cant find any binaries as core. compile it from sources is a hard way for me.i think the binary core's update url already written in the wiki and i googled it, but no luck. please tell me, where from the retropie (configured for rpi) can download core updates? or suggest me how to find the compiled cores online?

@k0st1x You should ask the author of the Kodi addon about support for the N64 core, binaries are not always portable and finding one for the Pi doesn't mean it will work on your system.

i'm ready to manually download needed cores and copy it to rpi.
@mitu can you point me to release cores repository? it should be available for online access :) -

Please ask the maintainer of the add-on to provide an N64 core, the pre-compiled RetroPie binaries are not guaranteed to work with your system - and most likely they'll not work.

kodi addon is not maintained, no activity on github and no answer on github issue.
so i want to find solution manually :)
