[SOLVED] START and SELECT stopped working after update

I updated from weekly Buster build today through RetroPie menu -> Update option. Everything seemed to work fine, then I realized SELECT nor START button are working. They don't work in menu and also in any game, so there is no option to exit game or turn the RetroPie off. Any idea how to resolve this except fresh install?

@Spiky you could try going into retropie-setup,
manage packages>core>emulationstation>configuration/options>clear/reset emulationstation input configuration
then perform reboot in the retropie-setup menu, then it should prompt you to rebind your controller. -
