          With your Pi turned on and connected to the internet get on your PC and go to network. If you see retropie click on it ,if it's not there click on the address bar and type \RETROPIE then hit enter it should open a window with several folders including the bios file. Open that and copy the two needed bios files that you downloaded from the net into it and you should be done after you restart the pi.

          --If \RETROPIE don't work try \retropie
          Don't know why it won't show but you need to use two "\"s

            I use to have Dreamcast working. Then something broke it. I did not change any settings or files. I can't figure it out; the core tries to launch a game and then goes back to Retropie. I feel like after updating to Retropie 4.0 Beta it stopped. Any ideas?

              Same with me. Was working fine until I updated Riecast through the Retropie Setup script. Now it goes to boot the game then goes right back to emulation station.

                It kinda sounds like maybe the symlinks to the bios got nuked during the upgrade.
                in /home/pi/.reicast/ there is a directory called data or bios or something. It should have to files which are symlinks pointing to the bios

                dc_boot.bin -> /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/dc_boot.bin
                dc_flash.bin -> /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/dc_flash.bin

                If these links are missing then it wont work. This is purely a guess...will have to check it out when I get home.

                  Nope, they're there. Tried to uninstall reicast and reinstall trough binary and still same issue.

                    @Shakz Is there any way to revert back to the reicast version that comes default on the retropie image? Assume installing from retropie setup script takes the latest version. How do I go about installing a specific version?

                      @sreisig1 Man I don't know. I tried updating from source....I was unable to replicate the issue. Sorry :-(

                        Thanks anyway. I fresh installed retropie onto another sd card and copied the reicast folder from it. Is there any way to copy it to my other install (the one with the issue) by simply replacing the folder with the fresh one? Tells me I dont have permission when I try to do it SFTP
