Hiya all, I am currently running Retropie 4.6 on a bartop arcade and 99% is working perfectly (good build guys!). I do however have one problem with the PPSSPP emulator that is annoying me.

One of the axis of the joystick is opposite in the PPSSPP menu.
specifically left and right works fine, but up and down are opposite (up = down and down = up).

The controls are seem to be mapped correctly, and this only happens in PPSSPP and ONLY occur in the menu, when actually in a game everything works perfectly as it should.

Is also worth noting that the control are perfect in emulation station and every other emulator, its only PPSSPP that has this problem.

Anyone else have this issue or know what it could be?

      Many thanks

My guess is that your joystick is wired incorrectly - up is down and vice-versa. While you can re-map this in most emulators (including EmulationStation), PPSSPP might read directly what the joystick reports and configures the joypad accordingly.

You can test this theory by running jstest /dev/input/js0 from the command line and testing the joystick - see how jstest shows the Up/Down joypad movements.

I have the same issue with my Xbox controller. My analog does as you say, but my Dpad works fine.
