I've tried with USB hub and without hub, USB 2.0 and 3.1
I got “no game pad detected”,

Ps3 controller is working fine.

I got retropie 4.6.1 and I've tried to update.

It's been reported a few times - seems like the PS1 USB controller doesn't get detected at all on a Pi4, for some reason.
