@wild-snail You really should answer our former questions before asking new ones.

With such general question, it's difficult to give an useful answer. Some emulators have support for real CD-ROM support (RetroArch - for some systems). You may want to look at each emulator that you're interested and find out if it supports playing games from DVD/CD.

@mitu I have decided what emulators I want to use.

                -SNES

                -N64

                -Sega Genesis/CD/32X

                -PSP

                -And Gamecube (if it exists)

I though you were talking about using the CD game media to play the games. The answer to your question is no, it's not possible to use the DVD media for ROM storage without mounting it, so that emulators can read and play the games.

@RetroFloppy08 Yes, using the mount command.

@RetroFloppy08 You need to learn to use it - @Clyde's 2nd link is pretty extensive.

@mitu the only problem is: I have no idea what i'm doing. I've implemented a seperate folder that can (partially) run Scratch, and thats practically all i've done to modify the core of the sd card.

Could you possibly provide me with a full command that can mount a dvd drive?

Unlikely - your questions are rather vague and don't provide enough context in order to determine what you're trying to achieve and what you've done so far/what does not work.

I have no idea what i'm doing.

That's probably the reason why there's no solution or clear advice for you here.

Ok, so i read an (Official) documentation on how to mount one (using the command line, modifying a file), and it still doesn't work. I think I should just about give up.

Sorry, but you're still not giving enough information. Which documentation did you read? What exactly did you try, what should have happened, and what did or didn't? Where there any messages?

If you want to continue your endeavor, please copy & paste your exact command(s) and any output from them.

@Clyde Ok, I literally just realized it wasn't official but here's the guide anyway: https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2014/05/how-to-mount-a-usb-flash-disk-on-the-raspberry-pi/

I'm using an LG M-Disc R&W USB Disc Drive, and a Raspberry Pi 3B 1.2, running Retropie... idk. I'll check later.

I modified a file that was meant to run commands on startup, as well as other commands.
Instead of getting the intended result, it just created some files and mounted absolutely nothing.
It was supposed to read from the disc at startup and, through the Retroarch Menu, load the contents of the disc and run them.

I'm starting to think this is a hardware problem.

                                        Still no luck.

Gonna get a Raspberry Pi 4.

NVM, I updated to 4.6, and it recognizes the disc but there's 1 problem:

It boots me out as soon as it loads.

                                          Please Help???
