Wiimote for Lightgun games

Hello everyone, I’m at my end wits with this one. I’ve looked up on YouTube and google trying to use my wiimote with a dolphin bar on my RetroPie using a raspberry pi 3b pc.. Nothing and I mean nothing was working, I had to download a bunch of things that looked like it might be useful and anything that said Bluetooth. Now I got the buttons to somewhat work but..!! The system does Not read the remote as a cursor. I downloaded a few games with only 2 out of 5 games work 1being blood bro’s and The 2nd Terminator 2. The terminator you hear the shots being fired but it doesn’t display the picture or the cursor. Blood bro’s you have to play it as if you have just a reg controller in your hands. I’ve downloaded diff Mames bcuz 1 person says it only works on this one and another says the same about a diff mame and so on. I’ve only been able to get the games to work on mame 2003.. I’ve updated everything I can as well.. sooo if anyone can give me any ideas in why this isn’t going good and can give me better directions I’d be greatly appreciated really..
