The ROM is from a premade image and I have downloaded what seemed to be a good copy of the game from another source and removed the old file and replaced the zip file with the new copy. Same result. The Mame default is set to mame2000 in the photos attached but the newer versions of mame do nothing but make it worse and they also introduce sound issues. How can I fix this? Remove and reinstall the emulator? Arcade ROM Cyberball has sound issues and I can't resolve these either. What am I not doing right here?? Any advice is good advice. Thanks in advance, Community!20200708_225749_resized.jpg 20200708_225739_resized.jpg

Punch out works fine in mame 2003. I would use the newer emulator and get the correct rom version for mame 2003 to work properly. The rom version must match the emulator you use to function correctly. I can't put links on here as per the forum rules. But you can Google "mame 2003 romset" and should be able to find the correct version you need.

@barbudreadmon Did I miss orientation? I just wanted help which the first reply was actually helpful.

I am not a programmer. I have not studied Linux nor do I plan to. I don't know how to hunt down verbose log files and I'm sorry but I just now got into retropie and wasn't aware of an entire 3 page (single-spaced) rule book to asking a question and I really hate being talked-down to so let me apologize for attempting to ask for help solving a problem. I won't bother the community any further. Jesus Christ. I'm cancelling the pretentious "free" membership already.

@mahoneyt944 I'm sorry. Thank you for your reply. Guess I'll figure it out on my own. (Hall Monitors already coming to issue the demerits, I'm sure. Best of luck and thanks for your effort on my behalf, Sir! Cheers.

@barbudreadmon Not even sure how to remove my profile. If you would be so kind as to unsubscribe me? Ha. I looked up and down for a cancel account but I suppose they just let inactive accounts rot to save the numbers. Anyway. If you would that would be great. Cheers.

If you want your account removed, then you usually mention the administrators or the moderation team in one of your posts. The forum software doesn't have this feature (self-deletion of your own account).
