@mat Plus it's easier to set up than Drastic.

You can't beat the classics(unless you copy them).

I messed with it not too long ago, the audio cuts off for any game every few seconds. So it isn't that much better in that dept.

@mat Did you try what was said here? https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/26628/audio-issues-after-latest-raspbian-updates/13

I see that someone added it to the DOCS, thank you to whoever did that. :)

@Unknown No, I don't have any audio issues for any other emulator but lr-desmume2015 when I tried it.

You did that and have no audio skipping with lr-desmume2015 then?

Had a quick go on this and mario kart's menus are good but once the 3d aspect starts the framerate takes a big dive.

Anyone had any luck with this emulator editing the options/settings to improve it?

@mat I didn't even mess with the audio settings and it worked fine for me.
@retropieuser555 I tried overclocking the gpu to 865, and that seems to preform fine. I would probably also put the overvoltage to 6 and increase gpu memory to 400. That seems to get the best preformance out of a pi4. I wouldn't do it for an older pi.

Then I don't know what my problem is since the gameplay was ok but the sound skipped every few seconds, no matter the game.

                    Does anyone have this issue?

@mat Try adding a bios file or updating your retropie image.

@Unknown The retropie is the latest one, I update the script every chance I get, and the whole image is about 3 weeks old from a fresh install just because.

@unknown hey I'm having a play with your overclock and I meant to ask, with the gpu-mem, which version of the pi4 are you running?

@retropieuser555 That was several months ago. I was running a 1 gig pi4 back then. You may want to also play with the core_freq setting even though I havenโ€™t gotten to that yet. Make sure you have a backup of your RetroPie when your playing with these settings.

@unknown fair, I've only got a 2gb anyway. I was having a bit of a mess around and found for 2d games it seems to have given me a performance bump/less audio crackles and such. I only added the GPU settings to my overclock. I might experiment a little more once I've saved a made a backup of retropie. But for now I'm happy playing Professor Layton on the TV :)
