      Version: 4.6.4 (rpi3 - running on Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.0 (jessie))
I think the model is a22082?

I bought this pi off of ebay years ago so I never did the install myself. Now when I try to update it, it fails installing several things and says my version is no longer supported and to install retropie from a fresh image or upgrade the OS. I want to update this thing to the newest and best version possible and also to upgrade the 16GB microsd to a 128GB as well, be it at the same time or afterwards. I would prefer to keep all my emulators and ROMs and the whole Emulation Station setup if possible. I would love some help understanding all this.

@tripplies we don't support third party installs, but to get the original games off you would need to transfer them off. see: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/#transferring-roms. essentially you're doing the same process, but in the other direction. samba, SFTP or the manual copy would work. after that, install your new system on your new SD, and transfer them back in the same manner.

i would be reticent to transfer configs and the emulationstation setup as those settings are likely incompatible with current retropie and could cause issues/break it.
