Is there any way to get two wiimotes to work on one dolphinbar or will two dolphinbars work?

The directions that come with the dolphinbar say mode 4 supports up to four wiimotes but I can't get a second one to synch. If a second dolphinbar would work I might try that. A bit pricey but playing lightgun games without a partner is a bummer.
Any advice on how to get a second one working would be very much appreciated.
