One Button Overrides Another, Xin-Mo Dual Arcade Controller
-
Evening all,
In the middle of making a pop'n music controller to use with my Pi3b+. So far everything is great except I've run into an issue with one of my buttons.
I'm using 9 dome buttons and 2 standard push buttons in my configuration (see picture) as a single controller. I have wired them all to the xin-mo dual arcade controller and individually they all respond after they have been mapped accordingly in EmulationStation V2.8.4RP.
When I am in-game however, one of my buttons will not activate at the same time as one other button. This seems to be specific always to my red button, no matter where I wire it.
I can hold down all other buttons in various combinations and they will remain activated and working, but the red will not activate with the green to it's immediate left. If I hold down red on it's own and then hold the left green, the green will take priority and the red 'turns off'.
I'm wondering if this is a wiring problem on my part, a configuration problem with my controller mapping or if there is a problem with the board/wire harness or even with the micro switch for that button.
I've cleared out all my controller configs and while the red button can be mapped and responds out of game, it does not activate at all now in game. Leaning towards a configuration issue more than wiring at this point.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
