I've searched for this problem but I feel like I don't know the right thing to search for. I'm having a problem where holding the button physically doesn't hold the button virtually in the emulator. Lots of times this doesn't matter, for shooting games etc. But for certain ones you hold the button and you're meant to hold the action. In particular, a game like Mortal Kombat, holding the block button should keep the block.

However what I'm seeing is an impulse input. Holding the button acts like I pushed it and released, blocking for maybe .5 sec and then stopping.

I feel like this must be a retroarch.cfg setting that I just can't find. I think it worked a few months ago, then I did some core/rom/global config changes and then noticed it some time after that. Can anyone help?

        More info-

I've confirmed holding the buttons down works in general. I played GIJoe and got the auto-fire and just held the button to get it to continually fire. So it works in theory and works on my cabinet.

Could it be specific in some way to MK2 - nvram, cfg or DIP switch settings?

I'm also not insane, right? Holding block in MK2 should keep the character's block held?
