400gb sd card
-
Hi All,
First post so please be kind :)
I have set up retropie successfully and have some roms working via a usb stcik.
I have tried to expand the sd via retropies internal settings to free up the extra pspace on the card to add the roms to.
What I am looking to do is to have all of my roms and retropie all on the same SD card.
Is this possible?
I feel like I am missing something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS sorry if this was asked before I searched the forums but couldn't find anything -

Free up from what ? The RetroPie image automatically expands the sd card Linux partition when first booted, so expanding should not be necessary.
EDIT: you can see how much space you have available by exiting EmulationStation and looking at the welcome message displayed in the terminal - it has an overview of how much disk space is available for RetroPie on the the main (
/
- root) partition. -
Hi Mitu, thanks for your reply.
Sorry I may not have been clear.
So I have my SD card and it is set up as the boot. I want to put my roms on the same SD card. Is there a way to do this?
I have had sucess with and external USB but I want to be able to use my new SD card.
Thanks again

@djshenanigans You can use the File Manager (from the RetroPie system in EmulationStation) to copy your ROMs to the SD card, from the USB stick. Just rename the
retropie-mount
folder on the USB, so it's not automatically mounted over the ROMs folder by RetroPie. After plugging in the USB stick, the files there should be available under/media/usb0
.
