Daphne control Issues

Hello everyone,
I have Daphne loaded and the games load fine but my buttons work and then I have zero luck with the D pad. My keyboard works perfect, but no arcade stick for me. My Microtek USB Encoder is reading as JS0 and I have edited the Daphne.ini file to have the buttons work using Evtest and Jtest. Buttons register 1 - 9. I can even see the D pad move in Jtest and Evtest. When it returns a value it returns a 32767 for Left and -32767 for right. Same thing applies to up and down. 32767 for up and -32767 for down, but I can't edit the ini file to show that command. If I put it in the file, it does nothing and if I set it to 2 as per the instructions in the daphne documentation it doesn't see it. When I check it it in Evtest it shows left as 255 left or right and 217 for up and down. Any help would be great thanks in advance.
