      Good evening fellas,

I recently acquired a Raspberry Pi 4B - 4 Gb who runs Retropie v4.6, to build an arcade controller, in which the Pi would be installed.

I used Etcher to make the booting card. I got only one USB3 port used, by the Pimoroni Player X card that makes the link between the Pi and the buttons & joystick.
I also use an Xbox one controller (USB plugged or using Bluetooth) and sometimes use a wireless keyboard to admin the OS.

I recently built a draft and it works pretty good, but I have issues with the Pimoroni card, that requires an unplug&plug maneuver to be recognized by ES. When I do so, all the controller's buttons are immediately detected by ES, it recalls my button's configuration and works like charms.

But as I plan to put the Pi into the controller, I would like to avoid that maneuver every time I boot the device. For your information, the Pimoroni card's LED turns on, straight when i boot, so it seems to be properly powered. (I got a 3,5A 5V power supply).

Is there any way to hotplug the Pimoroni card so it's ready to go when I boot?

I feel like the USB card isn't recognized by the Pi during boot or ES doesn't recognize the card as a controller.

      Why do you guys suggest?

I hope I did not miss any important points,
And I thank for your help.
