I just wanted to know if you can add out side emulators to retropie. ?

@nes you can add any app that's compatible depending on the OS and hardware you are running and know how to configure emulation station to run it. What type of outside emulator do you need that's not provided with retro pie?

@lostless there is a cdi. And I believe there is a new 3do emulator that is better then 4do.

the emulator for 3do is called now called lr-opera which is a fork of 4DO (https://github.com/libretro/opera-libretro)
lr-opera is included in Retropie 4.6 and can be found and installed from the Manage Experimental Packages in the RetroPie Setup.
lr-opera does support cdi and bin/cue ... but also supports chd which will save you a ton of space and works fine (i have 20+ 3do games in chd format and they work fine)
P.S. I hope you have a Raspberry Pi 4 ... because 3do games run awful on the Raspberry 3 B+
Even a Overlocked Raspberry Pi 4 overclocked still struggles with some games ... but most play at a decent speed with some tweaking in the emulator settings.

@ReadyPlayaWon there is one more. I believe it's called Daphne singe its the emulator that plays american laser games and time gal and a few others. Do you know how to get that one working

Haven't tried than one sorry
I've just been using lr-opera to play the America Laser Games titles ...
have tested Crime Patrol, Drug Wars (Crime Patrol 2), Space Pirates and Mad Dog McCree , Dragons Lair, Space Ace etc all of which play pretty much perfectly using lr-opera and a Raspberry Pi 4
