      Hello,

My RPi4 keeps crashing after 10-15 minutes of playing. I tried with two different games. It crashes just my display. After the crash my pihole was working and I was even able to ssh into my RPI4.

I used the dmesg command and I got numerous duplicates of the following message:

      [ 1023.338269] [drm:vc4_page_flip [vc4]] *ERROR* Async flips aren't allowed

Any help or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

Are you starting RetroPie (EmulationStation) from the desktop ? This is not a supported configuration. Are you sure it's not the screensaver that kicks in after 10 minutes ?

@Zoher_15 but how are you starting emulationstation? You didn't answer @mitu 's question.

@BuZz @mitu I start it from command line after boot, should I be doing it differently? And Mitu you were right, after the crash if I connect the mouse and use it, the display becomes active again. So it is probably losing the display because of inactivity.

@Zoher_15 sounds like you're running retropie from the desktop. You should exit it. Or use our image if you're unsure.

@BuZz Thanks Buzz! I have now set it up to boot directly into Retropie. No issues so far.
