Retropie and Vice on Pi4 not working
-
Hello,
i got serious Problems Running Vice on Retropie.
On my old Pi2 everything works fine. The new Install on a Pi4 did not work. Version 4.6.7When i try to start Vice through the Emulation Station it didn't start and get me back into ES.
I tried D64 and Zip Games. The Logfile always says unsupportet Format.BTW is Vice on Pi4 a other Version as on Pi2?
For a Pi2 the Package was 143 on Pi4 it is 155. Maybe that is the Issue?Updating the whole System did also not work Vice is not loading.
Any Suggestions?

Have you tried lr-vice from the experimental packages option? I haven't tried vice myself, but maybe the libretro version will work.

lr-vice
or standalonevice
? -
Hi,
i tried vice standalone. lr-vice works but i would prefer Standalone Vice for better Configuation.
Here is the Log

I have no problems running the game with
vice
. Did you installvice
from source or binary ? What version does Vice reports (F12, then go to Help -> About) ? -
Hi,
i tried binary and from source. No difference.
Vice is not starting, therefore no Version Report :(Greets Trekinfo

I cannot reproduce this error - either with the game from the log file you posted or with another
.d64
disc image. I have the latest binary (for the Pi4 system) also. Can you try moving the configuration file out of the way (
~/.vice/sdl-vicerc
), just to check that's not some setting that's interfering ? -
Please post contents of your
/boot/config.txt
-
Hi toghether,
@mitu , moving the File out of way had no effect.
@BuZz here is the Config.txt
